RTDA has become part of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP). ISOCARP is an international non-governmental association existing since 1965. ISOCARP includes planners and urban planning organizations from more than 85 countries of the world (of which only 17 from Russia). ISOCARP is recognized by the UN General Assembly and the Council of Europe and has an UNESCO official consultative status.
